The Marketing & Growth Business Unit drives UniSuper’s member acquisition, retention, and product strategy, delivering compelling offerings that support great retirement outcomes for our members.
This is a unique opportunity to apply actuarial expertise across a diverse product portfolio influencing member outcomes.

The role

Support the delivery of actuarial expertise across the Fund’s product portfolio, providing analysis, modelling and insights to inform product strategy and member outcomes. Work closely with the Manager, Product Actuarial Solutions to deliver contribute to technical actuarial support across key initiatives.

• Support monitoring, reporting and analysis of defined benefit financial position and risks
• Assist with actuarial insurance experience investigations and collaborate with external insurers
• Conduct actuarial modelling and projections for retirement products and member outcomes
• Support investment, fee and risk modelling analysis
• Contribute to quantitative research and insights on membership and product outcomes
• Maintain model governance through documentation and continuous improvement


About you

You are an emerging or experienced actuarial professional with a strong analytical mindset and passion for delivering positive retirement outcomes. You bring technical expertise and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.

• For Actuary role, 5+ years with Fellowship (FIAA) qualification
• For Actuarial Analyst role, 2+ years actuarial experience with Associate (AIAA) qualification; progress towards FIAA preferred
• Strong modelling and Excel skills; exposure to VBA, R or Python preferred
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative problem-solving capability
• Understanding of wealth management, defined benefits or retirement products
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
