Business Steering Services Product Accounting Sr. Associate

TASK AND RESPONSABILITIES

• Check results of process order settlement and follow up variances on production orders and purchase prices, inform GO for error correction.
• Check and change tariffs / activity prices.
• Get and enter start-up and downtime cost, define normal capacity and fixed/variable split.
• Identify net realizable value.
• Check and verify Product Accounting closing results and give business input.
• Specialized ad hoc support and project support specific to own area of expertise.
• Support external & internal audit and perform ICS controls in his own area of expertise and responsibility.
• Support the overall closing process.
• Review the closing results and follow up with divisions and functions; perform manual postings where applicable.

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting or equivalent degree.
• At least 3 years professional experience in General Accounting, Product Costing, Financial Analysis or similar fields.
• Good communication skill and analytical thinking.
• Fundamental understanding of global accounting and controlling processes and their point of intersection with other business processes.
• Profound knowledge of subgroup value flows and controlling logic are mandatory.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Skillful in SAP FI / CO module, good overview of interfaces with other modules.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Management Account (CMA) is desirable.
• Knowledge of Bayer Group accounting and reporting requirements, especially PA/IV and/or VFM in accordance with the Bayer Cost Accounting Directive is desirable.
