About the Team

This Team performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer who is passionate about making complex information clear and accessible. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineers, product managers, and fellow writers—to create high-quality documentation that supports our products and services at LexisNexis Risk Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation using tools like ReadMe and Oxygen XML Editor.

  • Work closely with subject matter experts to understand and explain technical concepts clearly.

  • Use version control tools (e.g., Git via Sourcetree) to manage documentation updates.

  • Follow and contribute to style guides to ensure consistency in tone, structure, and accessibility.

  • Participate in planning, peer reviews, and content delivery across multiple platforms (PDF, developer portals, Help systems).

  • Help organize and maintain documentation libraries and taxonomies.

  • Continuously improve content based on user feedback and evolving product needs.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 6+ years of experience in technical writing or related fields.

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, especially for technical audiences.

  • Experience working in agile or fast-paced development environments.

  • Familiarity with APIs, data models, and technical systems.

  • Comfortable using documentation tools such as ReadMe, Oxygen XML Editor, Git, HTML/XML, and DITA.

  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
