Purpose
Has primary responsibility for supervision of the purchasing, inventory management, and minor contract administration processes at Entergy's nuclear plants. Serve as key points of contact between the Supply Chain organization and interfacing plant departments including Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Operations, Chemistry, and Project Management.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Support leadership in the administration of the MP&C processes. Day to day supervision of assigned staff. Manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities. Manage multi-disciplined groups and function as a team leader for assigned MP&C Process/Commodity Team. Focus team on improving station equipment reliability through appropriate stocking of critical and non-critical components.
Assist in budget development and manage departmental functions within budget. Prepare reports, charts and briefings dealing with material acquisition, inventories, material availability, contract status, etc. Manage site inventory to ensure that appropriate parts are available to meet the work week schedule while at the same time not maintaining obsolete or excess stock, and minimizing total costs. Work with Production and Maintenance Departments to minimize over reservation of materials.
Actively seek and solicit ideas from staff for Entergy Continuous Improvement (ECI). Use ECI techniques to analyze causes, plan and implement improvements, and study effects of changes. Document adverse conditions and performance deficiencies in the Condition Report Program, perform CR dispositions, develop and implement corrective action plans, and verify effectiveness of actions taken.
Serve as Self-Assessment and/or Benchmark Team Lead or Team Member. Provide daily direction to Procurement Engineering to align with supply chain priorities. Provide emergency, back-shift and outage support as required. Support the Emergency Response Organization and activities.
Serve as primary liaison between MP&C and interfacing plant departments including Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Operations, Chemistry, and Project Management. Act on behalf of MP&C leadership, as required.
Responsible for safety, leadership, training and supervision of site Procurement personnel. Establish departmental objectives and standards of performance in accordance with defined MP&C objectives and nuclear site expectations. Ensure that personnel implement assigned processes in accordance with standardized MP&C procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
