Eaton’s Electrical Sector - ARS division is currently seeking a Procurement Supervisor for our Fibrebond team based at our manufacturing campus in Minden, Louisiana.

The Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring our Supply Chain Team has the necessary information and materials to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with other departments to make informed decisions that balance inventory and freight costs. Additionally, as part of our integrated and agile supply chain organization, this role will transition into a Network Scheduler, serving as the primary face of supply for an assigned value stream, owning short term execution and exception management.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive supply chain improvements, supervise raw material inventory levels, and set control guidelines.
  • Own material planning and track inventory transactions to align with demand needs.
  • Proactively identify cost savings and cost out opportunities for assigned commodities.
  • Drive accountability of supplier quality and adherence to Eaton’s supplier policies.
  • Monitor and drive accountability on supplier performance metrics (on time delivery, quality, customer service, invoicing, etc.).
  • Create commodity plans, negotiate with suppliers, and conduct supplier analysis and cost-benefit evaluations in conjunction with the global purchasing organization.
  • Support order and procurement of capital material to fulfill CAPEX projects.
  • Use ERP systems and Lean methodology for procurement planning and address invoice and receipt discrepancies promptly. Recommend improvements for purchasing functions and adhere to standard departmental processes.

Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or purchasing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
  • Two (2) or more years of leadership experience, directly managing employees.
  • Previous experience operating a web-based ERP system.
  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience working in supply chain, including procurement.
  • Previous experience working in supply chain and/or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
  • C.P.M. /CPSM or CPIM /CSCP certification (APICS/ISM).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well cross-functionally
  • Strong supplier negotiation skills
  • Critical thinking skills and an ability to align priorities to business needs independently
  • Ability to balance multiple project and priorities simultaneously
  • Self-direction and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Strong computer knowledge (specifically Microsoft Excel and Access)
