Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Procurement Specialist – Packaging Materials for a leading manufacturing company The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in packaging materials, production processes, and supplier management within the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for packaging materials in line with production and quality requirements

• Manage vendor negotiations, pricing, contracts, and cost optimization initiatives

• Ensure consistent availability of packaging materials to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations

• Monitor and control quality of incoming packaging materials, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards

• Collaborate closely with production, quality, and planning teams to align procurement with operational needs

• Maintain supplier performance metrics and manage continuous improvement initiatives

• Stay updated on market trends, alternative materials, and supply chain risks

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement of packaging materials within a manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of packaging production fundamentals, material properties, and quality standards

• Mandatory experience in the UAE market with established knowledge of local suppliers and sourcing channels

• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost control skills

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience handling multiple packaging categories (plastic, paper, cartons, flexible packaging, etc.)
