In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment specific to interiors required for projects during preconstruction, buyout, and change management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings for scope alignment.
  • Complete quantity takeoffs.
  • Help in creation of bid list and research of qualified subcontractors.
  • Prequalification process management (including assisting team with subcontractor risk evaluations)
  • Closeout for all procurement-related activities and supplier management.
  • Reviews proposals and selects or recommends suppliers based on gathered information. May also recommend improvements to procurement processes and procedures.
  • Draft contracts and place orders for specified items.
  • Coordinates with Project teams that may include Project Managers, Interior Design Team, Project Management and owner's Interior Design Manager.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontract and vendor partners.
  • Creation and usage of subcontract cost codes and budgets.
  • Travel up to 20% as needed.

Education & Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, interior design, FF&E management, construction, or a related field is required.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience supporting the procurement of furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and decor elements for commercial, hospitality, residential, healthcare, or institutional projects is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of interior design materials, product specifications, supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and project delivery processes is highly valued.
  • Strong collaboration skills with interior designers, architects, project managers, and vendors are required to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of FF&E packages.
  • Good communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, are essential for this position.
  • Understanding of basic business principles such as contract language, insurance certificates, commercial terms and conditions, logistics, and freight terms is required for this position.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, team members may be required to visit alternate locations and therefore must have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to do so. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 50 pounds. Requires good hand - eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The team member is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
