Auckland Council’s Procurement team has an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist, Systems and Digital to join our Strategic Procurement function.
This role sits at the intersection of procurement, data and technology, helping us improve how procurement information, systems and digital tools are used across the organisation.
You will work closely with procurement teams, data specialists and business stakeholders to develop meaningful reporting and insights, strengthen data governance and quality, enhance procurement systems and processes, and support the delivery of our Procurement Digital Strategy.
A key focus will be turning procurement data into practical insights that support better decision making. You will also contribute to digital solutions and continuous improvement initiatives that make our procurement processes simpler, more effective, and easier to use.
You will be passionate about using business intelligence, reporting and data to drive better decisions and business outcomes. You will bring strong analytical capability, commercial thinking and the ability to turn complex information into clear, practical insights.
You will have demonstrated experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks, standards or governance expectations, along with a strong understanding of data quality and reporting.
Success in this role will also require strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. You will be confident building relationships across different teams and levels of the organisation and able to communicate complex or technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
You will bring:
A relevant tertiary qualification and CIPS membership or equivalent professional accreditation would be advantageous.
