About Our Client

Our client is a well-established international engineering group specialising in modular and prefabricated data centre solutions, covering power, cooling and IT infrastructure.

Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist will manage the end-to-end sourcing and supply chain activities for critical components within the data centre and power generation sectors. This role focuses on securing cost-effective, high-quality materials while ensuring compliance with international engineering standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for power distribution units (PDUs), cooling systems, and IT infrastructure components to support modular data centre projects.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manufacturers across Asia (including Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong) to optimise total cost of ownership and lead times.
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from requisition and sourcing to order placement, expediting, and receipt of goods.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of supply for critical project milestones.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to define technical specifications and ensure purchased goods meet required quality and compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in the ERP system and generate reports on spend analysis, supplier KPIs, and procurement budget adherence.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, import/export procedures, and logistics within the Asian region.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage relationships with multi-disciplinary suppliers.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines.
