This position reports to:

Category Manager

Your role and responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
• Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.
• Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
• Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.
• Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval.

Qualifications for the role

• Strong knowledge of plastic and metal categories, including supplier market dynamics, sourcing strategies, and cost drivers.
• At least 5 years of experience in similar role.
• Dynamic and proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• You have strong ability to work in team, to prioritize task, to work with deadline and to manage projects effectively.

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: € 48.000,00

Variable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus

The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
