Now part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, Nu-heat has ambitious growth plans.

The Role

Reporting to the Procurement & Purchasing Manager, this is an opportunity to join a small team continuing to make a big positive impact on the Company’s performance. This role works closely with product development, product management, finance and manufacturing teams in Honiton and Exeter. Key focus areas of the role include sourcing, evaluating and managing new and incumbent suppliers, supporting business growth and risk management and ensuring alignment to group procurement strategy, processes and policies.

Working hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 - 17:00

Working style: Hybrid with a greater weighting office versus home working.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined supplier performance portfolio and own the relationships for key suppliers, driving quality, cost and delivery against KPI’s.

  • Support the line Manager with local indirect supplier procurement contracts and relationships.

  • Maintain high quality records to enable timely reporting of data to the line manager across spend, cost saving, cash conversion, contractual progress and KPI performance detail.

  • Support strategic procurement activity, assisting the line Manager in taking a business need from initial definition through feasibility, execution and implement to a successful conclusion.

  • Working with the line manager to identify saving opportunities and deliver against your own defined portfolio.

  • Drive payment term improvements as defined by the line manager.

  • Support strategic procurement activity, assisting the line Manager in taking a business need from initial definition through feasibility, execution and implement to a successful conclusion.

  • Support the line manager to roll out, embed, develop and continually improve policy and process.

  • Collaborate throughout Genuit to develop centrally sourced products and services.

  • Effectively maintain the P2P Process, across all spend.

  • Support value for money sourcing activity through early seed NPI engagement.

  • Support daily management and highlight emerging risk as appropriate.

  • Provide advice on EOL and other SKU attributes.

  • Participate in any Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning activity.

  • Demonstrate trademark behaviours throughout all engagement.

  • Develop strong collaborative working relationships locally and throughout Genuit.

  • Play an active role in continuous improvement, use of GBS tools/ways of working and Kaizen events.

The Person

  • Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Be a strong negotiator who will lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers on behalf of the business. Confident to negotiate and persuade others.

  • Demonstrate a track record of: 

  • achieving or exceeding cost saving, inventory and OTIF targets.

  • identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Experience of IT packages (Microsoft Excel or equivalent), in particular handling large sets of data using formulae, pivot tables, charts etc.

  • Be highly motivated and comfortable to work under your own initiative, taking ownership and finding a better way.
