We're looking for an Operational Procurement Specialist to support strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships, and help drive operational excellence across our manufacturing operations.
The Impact You Will Make
As an Operational Procurement Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting procurement strategy by identifying sourcing opportunities, coordinating supplier negotiations, improving supplier performance, and contributing to cost savings initiatives across direct and indirect goods and services.
You'll collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Finance to help ensure a reliable supply of materials and services while supporting business continuity, supplier risk reduction, and operational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment where your analytical skills, business acumen, and collaborative approach will directly support Kindeva's mission of manufacturing more tomorrows.

Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
• Research and analyze procurement data to support the development of a multi-year pipeline of cost savings initiatives.
• Identify new suppliers, solicit quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and support supplier selection activities that deliver value to Kindeva.
• Develop business cases supporting sourcing recommendations and cost savings initiatives.
• Support supplier performance management by monitoring on-time delivery, lead time adherence, supplier performance, and supplier risk metrics.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Procurement Operations
• Execute local eSourcing activities, including supplier training, sourcing events, and monthly eSourcing planning in accordance with established guidelines.
• Serve as the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP Ariba eSourcing and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Procurement, providing training and support to internal stakeholders.
• Support the Procurement Manager by serving as the site procurement contact during periods of absence and assisting with procurement-related questions, escalations, and service support.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, systems, and corporate governance requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Category Management teams to support enterprise sourcing strategies and promote preferred supplier utilization.
• Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams to support Alternate Supplier Qualification (ASQ) initiatives and supplier risk reduction efforts.
• Support Direct and Indirect procurement activities as business needs require.
• Develop and deliver procurement training while promoting procurement best practices across the organization.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Prepare supplier performance, procurement, risk management, and Alternate Supplier Qualification (ASQ) reports.
• Analyze procurement data to support informed business decisions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Participate in professional development activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of procurement experience, or a master's degree with a minimum of three (3) years of related procurement experience.
• Three (3) years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract administration, procurement analytics, and ERP systems.
• Understanding of procure-to-pay processes, sourcing methodologies, and inventory control.
• Experience working with cross-functional project teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, charts, and data analysis, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and business correspondence.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal business partners.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Preferred
• Three (3) or more years of experience in a highly regulated industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Procurement and MRP.
• Experience with SAP Ariba eSourcing.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Sievo.
• Practical experience with eSourcing.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Total Quality Management Systems (TQMS), or Yellow Belt/Green Belt certification.
• APICS, ASCM, ISM, or CIPS certification (or progress toward certification).
