Job Description

  1. Responsible for the procurement activities of the assigned materials which include:
      • Responsible as main interface with customer order planning team & project stakeholder with effective coordination.
      • Support material simulation activities to meet customer order fluctuation & fulfillment.
      • Study and take appropriate actions on the MRP reports after MRP run.
      • Provide daily input/updates on material delivery related issues in critical material list.
      • Attend regular task force calls on critical supply materials status. Activate escalation to next level according to escalation RASIC.
      • Attend DLR (Daily Leadership Routine), a platform for information exchange with customer order planning.
      • Ensure material arrival with right qty and timing to avoid production disruption.
      • Coordinate activities with relevant parties to avoid line stoppage if material cannot arrive on time
      • Track and monitor supplier delivery performance.
      • Required to manage suppliers with higher levels of complexity & supplier development.
      • Support the preparation of reports and presentation slides when necessary.
      • Support continuous process improvement and lean initiatives
  2. Constantly review the planning parameters according to business trend.
  3. Responsible to support the activities on inventory management to achieve monthly coverage and inventory turns including quick disposition on rejected and obsolete materials, minimize overhanging materials, work on overhanging materials claims, disposition on transportation damage material etc.
  4. Strategic planning to minimize special premium cost (e.g. change of ship mode) to support situation requirement.
  5. Work on special freight claims and line-down claims due to delinquent supply from suppliers.
  6. Involve in engineering changes request. Determine implementation dates of ECN (Engineering Change Notice) for raw material. Assist the project team in ECN effective date setting for software related topic.
  7. Support the analysis of raw material ABC classification, inventory report etc. as and when needed.
  8. Support activities related to Bosch Production System (BPS), e.g. kanban/consi implementation, continuous improvement project etc.
  9. Work together and support each other within LOG as well as with another department.
  10. Support and work towards achieving the departmental goal & central deployment KPIs.
  11. Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
  12. Escalate procurement issues that affect a single Value Stream (Level 1).

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor Degree/Diploma in any discipline with at least 3-5 years of related working experience.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Be flexible to take on ad-hoc assignment or project as necessary.
  4. Understands impact and consequences of own actions.
  5. Related working experience in material and procurement planning environment is required.
  6. Understanding of MRP is essential.
  7. Team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  8. Data management and tracking skills.
  9. Decision making strength is essential
