Procurement Officer

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

As a Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process for our organization. Your responsibilities will include sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to meet our operational needs. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with experience in marine procurement and a strong understanding of the industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing and Supplier Management
   • Identify reliable suppliers and maintain strong relationships with them.
   • Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms.
   • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
2. Purchase Order Processing
   • Prepare purchase orders based on requisitions from various departments.
   • Verify specifications, quantities, and pricing.
   • Coordinate with suppliers to expedite orders and resolve any issues.
3. Cost Control and Budgeting
   • Monitor procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
   • Assist in budget planning and adherence.
4. Market Research and Analysis
   • Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and product availability.
   • Analyze supplier proposals and recommend the best options.
5. Compliance and Documentation
   • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
   • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions.
6. Qualifications and Experience
   • Bachelors degree or diploma in a related field.
   • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Purchasing/Procurement department.
7. Skills and Attributes
   • Excellent negotiation skills.
   • Attention to detail.
   • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
   • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Compensation:

• Salary: AED 7,000 - AED 8,000 per month (based on experience)
