Job Role

The Procurement and Marketing Director will be responsible for leading the company's biomass fuel procurement, trading, sales, and market development activities across domestic and international markets. The role combines strategic sourcing, commercial leadership, supplier relationship management, business development, and international trading responsibilities to drive sustainable business growth and profitability.

Working closely with suppliers, traders, industrial customers, power producers, logistics providers, and international stakeholders, the successful candidate will oversee end-to-end biomass trading operations while strengthening both upstream and downstream business networks. This position requires strong commercial leadership, deep market knowledge, and the ability to navigate complex supply chain and cross-border trading environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement, trading, sales, and market development activities for biomass fuels across domestic and international markets.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with suppliers, producers, traders, logistics partners, industrial customers, and energy sector stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives to support commercial growth objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing movements, regulatory developments, and industry dynamics to support business planning and risk management.
  • Manage end-to-end trading activities including commercial negotiations, contract management, transaction execution, shipping coordination, and customer relationship management.
  • Oversee supply chain optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency, supply reliability, and commercial performance.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of procurement, sales, logistics, and trading operations.
  • Support the development of long-term sourcing strategies and customer acquisition plans to strengthen market competitiveness.
  • Prepare commercial reports, market intelligence updates, and business performance analyses for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to trading performance, profitability, operational excellence, and market expansion.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Engineering, Energy Management, Agriculture, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Proven leadership experience in procurement, commodity trading, sales, business development, or commercial management roles.
  • Strong experience within biomass fuels, renewable energy commodities, agricultural commodities, industrial raw materials, or related trading industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships, customer networks, sourcing activities, and commercial transactions across domestic and international markets.
  • Strong understanding of biomass fuel supply chains, commodity procurement, trading operations, and market development activities.
  • Experience handling international trade transactions, contract negotiations, shipping logistics, commercial documentation, and risk management processes.
  • Familiarity with international trade practices including INCOTERMS, Letters of Credit (LC), contract execution, and cross-border business operations.
  • Strong understanding of biomass products, quality specifications, market requirements, and end-user applications within industrial or energy sectors.
  • Proven ability to develop business strategies, conduct market analysis, identify commercial opportunities, and expand strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, business development, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills within dynamic and fast-paced business environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex commercial activities involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to support business development, supplier engagement, and customer relationship management activities.
  • Professional fluency in English and Indonesian, both written and spoken.
  • Mandarin proficiency would be considered an advantage for international stakeholder engagement and cross-border business coordination.
