Job role: Procurement Manager

Start date: Immediate

Location: Scotland

Duration 12 months initial contract with extension

Hours per week: 50 hours per week

We are currently seeking a highly skilled procurement manager to join our team. As a procurement manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers, as well as managing the procurement team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a procurement manager, preferably in the energy from waste industry
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures
• Familiarity with energy from waste technology and equipment
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and contractors
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Duties:

• Consultants procurement managers tasks and responsibilities include the following:
• Lead the procurement management activities in all purchase packages
• Support the respective Discipline Managers in all other purchase packages (Main Equipment packages, BOP mechanical, electrical etc.) in commercial and contractual matters as required.
• Preparing the procurement plan and coordinating the procurement activities within the project
• Preparing and updating the Procurement list
• Preparing project specific model documents and templates for procurement as well as taking over of procurement packages and acquiring Purchasers approvals for those
• Taking care of procurement tasks in co-operation with discipline managers and procurement engineers.
• Supporting Discipline managers and Delivery supervisors in delivery control and claim management
• Participation in commercial tender and contract negotiations
• Reviewing suppliers financial guarantees in co-operation with Customer
• Escalation of issues and concerns to Project manager
