Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers for raw materials, solvents, and reagents. Foster supplier alignment with TAPI's global strategic direction and local business unit expectations through periodic visits and continuous improvement activities.
• Quality, On-Time, In-Full (QOTIF) Delivery: Ensure procurement of input materials meets established QOTIF targets to prevent stock-outs at site locations. Manage rejections proactively to avoid recurrence and maintain supply continuity.
• Inventory & Materials Planning: Work closely with the planning team to procure materials at the right time and quantity, minimising non-moving stock accumulation. Meet year-on-year inventory level targets whilst managing the procurement process end-to-end.
• Cost Reduction & Price Management: Maintain comprehensive understanding of market price trends for raw materials and achieve year-on-year savings targets through strategic procurement initiatives and supplier negotiations.
• Supply Chain Security: Monitor local and international supply markets to ensure supply security. Maintain multiple approved sources for all sourced products whilst meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
• Supplier Relationship Management & Compliance: Lead SRM programmes with selected suppliers and ensure reasonable understanding of regulatory requirements relating to procurement, supplier selection, and problem resolution.
• Project Management & Stakeholder Alignment: Lead cross-functional teams to drive consensus on category strategic roadmaps. Manage short, medium, and long-term procurement plans whilst ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

• B. Tech (Chemical Engineering) or M. Sc. (Chemistry) or equivalent
• Degree or qualification in General Management or Materials Management (preferred)

Experience:

• 7 to 10 years in procurement, preferably in R&D procurement within a mid-to-large pharmaceutical organisation

Skills Required:

• Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
• Robust knowledge of procurement fundamentals
• Project management and multitasking capabilities
• Expertise in supplier negotiation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
