Job Description
Nestig is a venture-backed baby brand that brings thoughtful design to nursery and children’s spaces. We strive to offer top-of-the-line, sustainably sourced products from family-owned Brazilian factories.
As Procurement Manager on Nestig’s Product Development team, you will own inventory planning, forecasting, supplier strategy, and procurement risk management across our product portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Product Development in our São Paulo office, you will lead and develop a team of two Buyers who own day-to-day purchasing execution, including purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and delivery tracking. You will translate sales trends, launch plans, historical performance, lead times, and changing consumer behavior into purchasing and inventory decisions that balance product availability, working capital, and margin. This role requires strong judgment and the ability to manage supply risk as we grow into new markets.
This full-time position will be based out of our São Paulo office in Pinheiros, with no flexibility for remote full-time.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Buyer direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement and growth;
- Own inventory planning and forecasting across categories, translating sales trends, seasonality, product changes, and lead times into purchasing and replenishment decisions that balance availability, margin, and inventory levels;
- Identify and proactively manage procurement and inventory risks, including stockouts, excess inventory, supplier delays, and capacity constraints, through contingency planning and timely escalation;
- Maintain accurate, decision-ready visibility into inventory, purchase orders, forecast performance, product availability, and purchasing commitments by developing dashboards, automating reporting, and driving regular cross-functional reviews;
- Design and continuously improve scalable procurement and inventory management processes, systems, and decision frameworks to support operational excellence, increasing product complexity, and international expansion;
- Participate in supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation, including suppliers in Asia and other international markets, to improve cost, margin, quality, lead times, payment terms, and operational resilience;
- Oversee production and supplier follow-up through shipment readiness, coordinating with Operations on freight strategy, lead times, warehouse capacity, and customer delivery requirements;
- Communicate clearly with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders, making sound decisions, documenting risks, and maintaining accountability in a fast-changing environment.
What You’ll Bring

- Must be able to work onsite in our São Paulo office in Pinheiros three (3) days a week [Monday, Wednesday, Thursday]
- Primary English proficiency (B2+), both verbal and written
- A passion for all things Product Development — you like generating and streamlining processes and building strong partnerships
- Experience with supplier inspections and/or quality control, ideally within soft goods, or comparable manufactured products
- Working knowledge of quality standards, inspection tools, and procedural documentation, with the ability to interpret and apply them in sourcing decisions
- Understanding of logistics, manufacturing, and production workflows, particularly as they relate to cost, lead times, and supplier performance
- Comfort with the ambiguity of changing priorities, and the flexibility to embrace new ideas within a fast-paced environment
