About the role:

The Procurement Manager – Cyber Security is responsible for leading and managing the procurement process for software, hardware, and IT services, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.

This high-visibility role plays a pivotal part in aligning procurement strategies with government and commercial client requirements, as well as company business objectives. The position requires proven expertise in contract negotiation and management, with extensive experience in procuring technology solutions.

The Procurement Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders to deliver cost-effective, secure solutions and maintains strict adherence to relevant security protocols and standards.

Location:
This is a hybrid role in Herndon, VA (2-3 days per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the procurement process for software, hardware, and IT services, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.

  • Negotiate, develop, and oversee contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess organizational needs and deliver cost-effective, secure solutions.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cyber security trends, supplier capabilities, market innovations, regulations, and requirements specific to government and commercial sectors.

  • Evaluate supplier performance, establish key KPIs, and cultivate strong relationships to support ongoing business objectives.

  • Ensure all procurement activities meet the company’s and clients’ security standards, including due diligence and supplier risk assessments.

  • Deliver cost savings across hardware, software, and IT services including licensing models, support renewals, and hardware lifecycle costs.

Key Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrable proficiency in contract negotiation and management within a technology-driven environment.

  • Extensive experience sourcing and procuring software, hardware, and IT solutions, particularly with a security focus.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Deep understanding of contract lifecycle management including contract structure and legal terminology, specifically for Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, and Service Level Agreements.

  • Strong understanding of cyber security requirements, standards, and compliance, especially for government and commercial entities.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Proficient with enterprise sourcing software like Jira and Oracle.

Key Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CISSP, ITIL) are highly desirable.

  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in a procurement role within the IT or cyber security sector.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$113,300.00-149,800.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
