ABOUT THE POSITION

The Procurement Manager – India GCC is responsible for leading procurement operations and other procurement activities delivered through Columbia Sportswear’s India Global Capabilities Center. This role manages local purchasing execution as well as global procurement operational support, working in close alignment with their Accounts Payable counterpart to ensure a seamless P2P process flow. In addition to operational delivery, this role will serve as the direct manager for all GCC-based procurement team members, which may include operations, analytics, contracting and/or sourcing-related roles over time. As this is a new role, the Manager is accountable for building, hiring, and developing the team, establishing scalable processes, and driving continuous improvement aligned with global standards and stakeholder expectations.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • 25%-Lead and manage day-to-day procurement activities delivered through the India GCC, including local purchasing execution, requisition creation, transaction support, and adherence to defined procurement processes and service levels. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution aligned with global P2P standards.
  • 25%-Hire and lead a high-performing GCC procurement operations team. Establish clear roles, performance expectations, training plans, and development paths, and conduct ongoing performance management and coaching.
  • 20%-Provide support for global procurement activities, acting as a key liaison between GCC and global procurement and AP teams. Ensure effective coordination, issue escalation, and continuous alignment with sourcing, SRM, contracts, and data analytics teams.
  • 15%-Document, maintain, and continuously improve procurement operations processes within the GCC. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability of service delivery while maintaining alignment with global policies, systems, and controls.
  • 10%-Provide support, consultation, and review for local sourcing activities not directly managed by the global procurement team. Advise stakeholders on sourcing best practices and ensure Legal engagement on contract review where required.
  • 5%-Support procurement policy enforcement and compliance monitoring. Ensure operational activities align with internal controls and audit requirements and reinforce compliance expectations across the team.

YOU ARE:

  • Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes and procurement operations
  • Experience with procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
  • Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and business units
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Familiarity with procurement compliance and policy enforcement
  • Travel (may require domestic, international and/or overnight)

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 9+ years of experience in procurement operations, supply chain, or strategic sourcing, with hands-on experience managing systems, processes, and stakeholder support.
  • Experience performing and managing a broad array of procurement capabilities.
  • Experience managing and coaching teams. Experience with supplier selection and negotiations.
