To act as a team lead role supporting centralised procurement activities within major construction projects. The role will involve coordinating procurement processes across multiple stakeholders, with a focus on material sourcing, supplier coordination, and delivery management. The position requires strong practical experience in contractor-side procurement operations, particularly in bulk construction materials.

Role accountabilities:

• Lead and coordinate procurement activities to support project delivery requirements
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, evaluation, and order facilitation
• Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement outcomes
• Facilitate procurement coordination for high-volume/bulk materials, including logistics and delivery arrangements
• Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier performance, maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Support tendering and competitive procurement processes where required
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal procedures and project requirements
• Provide procurement insights and support reporting, planning, and process improvement initiatives
  
  Guide and support junior team members where applicable (team lead responsibilities)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related disciplines
• Minimum 8–10 years of procurement experience within the Hong Kong construction industry
• Strong experience working with main contractors
• Proven experience in procurement of construction materials, preferably steel reinforcement or other bulk materials
• Experience handling large-scale or high-volume procurement coordination
• Solid understanding of contractor-side procurement practices and market dynamics
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Ability to manage complex procurement coordination across multiple stakeholders
• Good understanding of procurement processes, tendering, and contract administration
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
