Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Manager Location: Toronto, ON  https://www.uniqlo.com/ca/en/ https://www.fastretailing.com/employment/en/  UNIQLO is a leading brand of the Fast Retailing Group, one of the largest apparel retailers in the world.   UNIQLO respects the individuality and lifestyle of all customers and takes pride in creating high quality, long-lasting, innovative clothing at an affordable price.  Reporting to the Director of Corporate Management and Finance, UNIQLO USA, the Procurement Manager will act as a Change Leader for the UNIQLO North America business. This position will analyze the figures to find cost saving opportunities and execute strategic projects with various departments to bring results. As the business grows, it is imperative for the company to control costs and accelerate strategic investments to change the Profit and Loss structure.    Key Responsibilities: Cost Analysis and Control 
  • Identify cost saving and strategic investment opportunities
  • Monitor cost saving achieved after execution and analyze cost optimization outcome
  • Coordinate with various teams across the business to drive cost optimization opportunities
  • Review contracts and develop understanding of key cost optimization drivers
  • Lead the projects and coordinate with the stakeholders to deliver an outcome within set timelines
Strategic Business Partner 
  • Partner with CEO, CFO, COOs and Heads of department to understand the business, growing opportunities and build a strong execution plan
  • Assess performance of responsible departments from objective view to help resolve issues and bring changes in business results
  • Lead and develop regional and global business transformation projects
Strategic Supplier Management and Investment 
  • Run Purchasing committee with the management to determine the objectives and ROI of the company spend
  • Develop costs/supplier database and analyze the information gathered as benchmark tool in decision making process
  • Take initiative in identifying areas of improvement to strengthen a low-cost mindset across the business
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor
Process Control
  • Work with various department individuals to elevate their understanding of the procurement process and ensure compliance to the process  
Qualifications: 
  • At least full 3-year experience within Finance cost control, Financial Consulting or Procurement
  • Experience in business partnering role and excellent execution skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and high-pressured working environment
  • Strategic thinking and good analytical skills

  • High flexibility and strong work ethics
