[Albemarle] is hiring for a [ Procurement Manager – Qinzhou site ] This position is [ in-office and located in [Qinzhou site]

What You Will Do

  • Understand laws, regulations and Albemarle Compliance Standards relevant to the routine purchase and delivery of site materials and services and ensure full compliance.
  • Drive compliance excellence. Enable a team culture that promotes full compliance, encourages questions and aggressively works to mitigate potential compliance risks
  • Translate site requirements into actionable procurement strategies. Develop and own the site procurement value creation strategies and site procurement scoreboard.
  • Insure there is clear alignment of category strategies and performance metrics with GBU stakeholders and site operations
  • Apply a thorough understanding of the site’s spend profile, supplier base, market price drivers and strategic sourcing framework to identify ongoing opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
  • Routinely engage with site leadership to ensure an aligned understanding of operational expectations and priorities, identify opportunities and confirm action plans.
  • Ensure clear expectations, aligned with the site’s procurement and operations objectives, are established in team member’s job responsibilities.
  • Actively network with other sites to share knowledge, identify potential leverage opportunities and jointly pursue value adding programs

What You Bring

Required:

  • 5-10 years + of indirect procurement/strategic sourcing/category management showing increasing growth and responsibilities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, partnering, and ability to influence.
  • Experience understanding of plant operation.
  • Experience understanding category management frameworks.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to partner with stakeholders and multiple functional groups on projects/programs.
  • High learning and change agility.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Priority setting.
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communications as well as conflict management.
  • Extensive knowledge with Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI and other advanced analytical tools; experience preferred in procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Jaggaer, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with sourcing events and savings methodologies preferred.
  • Experience in Procurement spend data management and sourcing/contracting tools a plus.
  • Lean and Change Management experience.
  • Chinese and English – Proficient to conduct external and internal business.
