The purpose of this role is service delivery, value for money, and best practice through Professional Procurement activity.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for medium to high risk and/or complexity contracts.
Owns commercial relationship with key strategic and core suppliers within spend remit
End-to-end ownership of procurement for selected spend areas within the category on a service line, regional or global basis.
Leads & manages all business-as-usual activity such as supplier selection, supplier management, contract terms, negotiation strategies and business improvement plans
Responsible for supplier review and management to facilitate sustainability, risk identification and mitigation, with relevant teams as appropriate
Strategic sourcing enabled by our electronic Sourcing tool, category management and Supplier Relationship Management techniques to deliver operational and cost improvements
Builds and leads cross-functional project teams to deliver sourcing projects effectively
Develops and delivers process improvements or efficiencies
Communicates with and influences stakeholders to Executive level to achieve buy-in both internally and externally, this may be done with support from more senior members of the team as appropriate.
Identifies opportunities and leads projects for sustainable procurement.
