Business Title: Procurement Manager, Chiller Plant
Region:

Location: Chiller Plant, Phoolgaon, Pune

What you will do:

The Data Centre Delivery Leader will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of data centre projects in India. This includes managing project timelines, financials, and ensuring high-quality execution that meets customer requirements. The role involves establishing strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

How you will do it:

Procurement Strategy & Management

Develop and deploy plant-level procurement strategy aligned with corporate and regional policies

Manage key materials, strategic commodities and critical suppliers.

Establish and continuously improve supplier development, evaluation and exit mechanisms

Cost & Performance Management

Define and achieve annual cost saving and procurement performance targets for the plant.

Lead price negotiations, cost breakdown analysis, VA/VE and cost reduction initiatives.

Regularly review supplier performance (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Service) and drive improvements

Supply Assurance & Risk Management

Closely work with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Planning to ensure supply continuity

Lead resolution of major delivery, quality, claim and supply disruption issues

Ensure procurement activities comply with contract law, ISO, EHS and internal control requirements.

New Product Introduction & Engineering Support

Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change processes with early procurement involvement

Drive evaluation, qualification and approval of new suppliers, materials and processes.

Team & People Management

Manage and develop the plant procurement team, including performance management and capability development

Define clear roles and efficient procurement processes.

Build a professional, high-performing procurement organization and talent pipeline

Other Responsibilities

Ensure effective implementation of latest corporate policies and procedures at plant level.

Perform additional assignments as requested by management.

What we look for:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in manufacturing or plant procurement/supply chain.
  • Experience in procurement team leadership or major sourcing project management
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or related disciplines.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing industry supply market (e.g. HVAC, industrial products).
  • Strong capability in cost analysis, negotiation and commercial judgement.
  • CPSM / CPM / PMP certification is a plus.
  • Integrity, result-driven, professional maturity
  • People leadership, talent development, cross-functional collaboration
  • Strategic thinking, decision making, organizational capability building
  • The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and exceptional communication skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in budget development and oversight, financial forecasting, and cost control
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to safety and quality in all project deliverables

Preferred

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contracts and financial concepts
  • Familiar with engineering change and NPI processes
  • Familiar with ISO, EHS, EMS and internal controls.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) – Chinese language is added advantage
  • Proficient in ERP / SAP systems
  • Strong communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving and pressure-handling capability
