Job Description

• Prepare RFI, RFQ, and RFP documents and participate in the tender process, including meetings and negotiations with vendors.
• Analyze bidding results and determine vendor allocation to achieve cost savings while maintaining service quality.
• Estimate and report cost savings; monitor barge/feeder usage across local offices.
• Maintain CCA and rate agreements in line with company standards.
• Collaborate with HQ legal and insurance departments to finalize binding contracts.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date costing in SAP and ZIMAP systems.
• Audit rate accuracy and resolve discrepancies with Finance.
• Conduct daily rate negotiations and secure vendor space for new or challenging demands.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding rates, DG acceptance, operations, and market conditions.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues with internal teams and vendors.
• Identify market-driven cost-saving initiatives and support budget preparation.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the shipping industry or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Logistics, or a relevant discipline; other degrees will be considered.
• Strong analytical skills with solid business modeling and numerical acumen.
• Results-driven with a proactive mindset.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
