THE WORK

• Coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.
• Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.
• Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance.
• Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.
• Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues. Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.
• Ability to travel up to 50%

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to read and interpret technical information
• Operations experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with sourcing, SMEs, proposal teams, and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired Skills

• Experience working closely with suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure all procured materials meet quality and performance standards
• Experience working independently, as well as within a team structure
• Experience effectively communicating with senior leaders to include program, company, subcontractors, and customers
• Background in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field).
• Comfortable presenting in cross functional team settings (Quality Program Team Meeting, Program Reviews, and Supplier Management Team meetings).
• Green Belt Certification
• Former Quality/Inspection, Global Supply Chain, or Engineering experience preferred
• Understanding of industry standards
• Understanding of Quality Management System requirements (AS9100, ISO9001)
• Understanding of First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) AS9102 requirements
• Familirity with SAP based MES or ERP systems
• Background in Root Cause Analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self starter - Ability to work autonomously
• Motivated to learn and adapt with proactive mindset

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
