Our mission is to become the premier professional services provider across all industry sectors we are engaged in. To accomplish this, Decima International’s founders established a simple yet powerful formula:

We are seeking a Procurement Engineer, MEP and Civil to support hyperscale data center construction projects in a PMC / owner’s representative capacity.

This role is responsible for procurement coordination at the building level, with a focus on MEP equipment packages, submittal tracking, shop drawing approval cycles, delivery sequencing, and procurement system management.

The successful candidate will independently manage assigned building-level procurement scope, monitor approval timelines, coordinate delivery requirements, and proactively identify risks that could delay manufacturing starts or impact construction sequencing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain dedicated building-level procurement accountability for one assigned data center building with no cross-building responsibilities. Procurement records, approval logs, and delivery trackers are maintained independently per building.
  • Manage procurement coordination for assigned building-level scopes.
  • Track MEP equipment package status within the procurement management system.
  • Monitor submittals, shop drawings, approvals, and required action timelines.
  • Coordinate delivery sequencing for MEP equipment packages.
  • Identify and escalate approval delays that could impact manufacturing start dates.
  • Track procurement milestones against project schedule requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records in designated systems.
  • Coordinate with project teams, vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders.
  • Review procurement data to identify gaps, delays, and required actions.
  • Escalate risks affecting delivery, installation, or construction sequencing.
  • Support procurement reporting, lookaheads, and status updates.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to close outstanding procurement actions.
  • Coordinate with construction and project controls teams to align procurement activities.
  • Maintain clear documentation for assigned packages and building-level scope.
  • Support the resolution of procurement issues impacting field execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 7+ years of procurement, construction, or project coordination experience on large capital construction projects.
  • Experience supporting procurement for MEP equipment packages.
  • Experience tracking submittals and managing procurement approval workflows.
  • Strong understanding of shop drawing approval cycles for construction equipment.
  • Experience coordinating delivery sequencing for MEP equipment.
  • Ability to identify approval delays and assess the impact on manufacturing start dates.
  • Experience using Procore, Oracle Unifier, or equivalent procurement management platforms.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale data center or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Experience working in a PMC, owner’s representative, developer, or client-side environment.
  • Experience supporting owner-direct procurement or OFCI/OFOI equipment.
  • Ability to independently manage and deliver assigned building-level procurement scope.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, organization, follow-up, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:
