Job Description

About the job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving end-to-end procurement operations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring seamless project delivery across active hardware and test development initiatives.

As our company navigates a fast-moving market with expanding hardware vendors, new tester suppliers, OSAT partnerships, and lower-cost alternative component sourcing, your technical and commercial expertise will directly impact project timelines and cost efficiency. You will be instrumental in negotiating competitive spot pricing, optimizing lead times, and building strong vendor relationships to achieve cost savings while maintaining high standards of delivery reliability. This role offers strong growth potential to expand into a broader strategic procurement position within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Track project lead times and monitor ETD/ETA schedules to ensure critical project timelines stay on track.

  • Manage product and equipment delivery schedules to prevent project slippage.

  • Engage with vendors, OSATs, and suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing, spot deals, and terms.

  • Actively source and evaluate alternative suppliers (e.g., hardware vendors, tester suppliers, socket alternatives, OSAT partners) to resolve capacity constraints and lower overall costs.

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives to meet organizational financial targets.

  • Coordinate export and import communications across different countries and liaise directly with freight forwarders.

  • Support Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) creation, routing, and approvals.

  • Maintain precise procurement records, documentation, and cost system data entries.

  • Follow up seamlessly with project owners and suppliers whenever RFQ demands or technical requirements change.

  • Support general procurement team activities and operational workflows.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field

  • Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management or other related fields

  • Understanding of the market dynamics and commercial awareness relating to the semiconductor industry

  • Technical understanding of semiconductor products and services

  • The ability to navigate in a global matrix organization

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Personal Skills

We are looking for self-starter, with the ability to work independently and proactively identify areas of improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively work cross functionally, strong decision-making skills and attention to detail. In addition you are well versed in negotiations and have the abilities for both analytical thinking and strategic vision.
