Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for various construction projects.
• Identify and source suppliers and vendors for construction materials, equipment, and services.
• Review project requirements and specifications to ensure alignment with procurement needs.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable service.
• Monitor market trends and evaluate potential new suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE procurement regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve procurement-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry, with at least 6 years in the UAE.
  • Proven track record of managing procurement for large-scale projects.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and market rates in the UAE.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel).
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple procurement activities.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Educational Background:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
