Salary Range: $67,500- $128,000

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. THE PURCHASING TEAM
The purchasing team manages all equipment and materials purchases for both job sites and corporate expenditures. This includes vetting vendors and establishing and maintaining relationships with new and loyal suppliers

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Procurement Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of procurement and asset-related data to support operational efficiency and informed business decisions. This role serves as a key steward of procurement master data, including item master records, equipment and fleet data, vendor pricing, and procurement system information. The position analyzes data trends, develops reports and dashboards, supports vendor pricing and point-of-sale data management, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance system capabilities, and support automation initiatives. Working with general direction, the Procurement Data Analyst independently manages assigned data domains, investigates issues, recommends solutions, and collaborates with stakeholders to implement improvements.

  • Serve as a steward of procurement master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across key datasets, including the Item Master, equipment and fleet data, vendor pricing, and procurement systems.
  • Maintain the Item Master throughout its lifecycle, including new item creation, standardization, updates, and data cleanup to support consistent use across the organization.
  • Analyze procurement and asset-related data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, supporting process optimization and informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate vendor pricing updates, including weekly pricing maintenance and the collection of monthly or quarterly point-of-sale (POS) data, ensuring timely and accurate data availability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, streamline processes, enhance system functionality, and support automation initiatives. Conduct analyses of equipment categories and project mobilizations to support buy-versus-rent decisions.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that track procurement metrics, supplier performance, and system effectiveness, ensuring insights are accurate, actionable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with procurement leadership and IT teams in evaluating and implementing system enhancements and automation opportunities that improve efficiency and data integrity.
  • Independently manage assigned responsibilities, exercising sound judgment to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, recommend solutions, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of system enhancements and updates, working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and minimal operational disruption.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data structures, business processes, reporting, and system procedures to promote standardization and knowledge sharing.

ABOUT YOU

  • Knowledge of master data management principles, and supply chain data concepts, including item master, vendor, pricing, and asset/equipment data.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, data quality standards, and methods for maintaining accurate and consistent business data.
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting procurement, asset, and operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Skill in developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics using reporting and data visualization tools.
  • Skill in using enterprise systems and databases (e.g., ERP, procurement, inventory, or asset management systems) to maintain and analyze data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate recurring data maintenance activities, and meet established deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with procurement, operations, finance, IT, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve data and process issues.
  • Ability to identify root causes of data discrepancies, evaluate solutions, and make sound recommendations based on analysis.
  • Ability to document business processes, data standards, and system procedures to support consistency, compliance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to support system enhancements, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives through effective communication, organization, and attention to detail.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Licensure/Certifications: N/A

Experience:
Three (3) or more years of experience in data analytics, business systems, master data management, business analysis, process improvement, or a related function.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform strongly preferred, including Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse, with hands-on experience developing, maintaining, or troubleshooting reporting, workflows, applications, or automation solutions.
Experience working with enterprise systems and business data, including ERP, asset management, procurement, inventory, or similar platforms, is preferred.
Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, procurement, construction, or other asset-heavy environments is a plus.
