The role

The Procurement & Commercial Value Lead is responsible for delivering commercial value across Beyond Bank Australia by leading procurement planning, sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation and contract management activities. Working within a collaborative, centre-led procurement model, the role partners with stakeholders across the business, suppliers and strategic partners to drive sustainable cost savings, optimise supplier performance, manage risk and ensure a seamless procurement experience.

This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering the Bank’s procurement strategy, identifying opportunities to maximise value from supplier relationships and contracts while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. Success is measured through strong governance, measurable cost and value outcomes, enhanced procurement capability across the organisation, and trusted stakeholder relationships that support the Bank’s strategic objectives.

In this role, you will

Lead strategic sourcing, tendering, contract negotiations and supplier management activities to deliver commercial value, cost savings and positive business outcomes.

  • Partner with stakeholders across the Bank to develop and execute procurement strategies, ensuring value for money, effective risk management and alignment with business priorities.
  • Manage key supplier and contract relationships, including performance monitoring, vendor due diligence, contract renewals and dispute resolution.
  • Provide expert procurement advice, coaching and capability development to strengthen commercial, contract management and procurement practices across the organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify procurement processes, enhance stakeholder experience and support sustainable, ethical procurement outcomes.
  • Ensure procurement and contract management activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards, including CPS 230, CPS 231, CPS 234 and Modern Slavery obligations.

Qualifications

About you

  • You bring significant experience in procurement, contract management and commercial negotiations, with a proven track record of delivering cost savings, value creation and strong supplier outcomes.
  • You have strong commercial, financial and business acumen, with the ability to interpret contracts, assess risk and balance commercial opportunities with sound governance.
  • You are a skilled negotiator and relationship builder who can influence stakeholders at all levels, lead complex discussions and foster collaborative supplier partnerships.
  • You excel at analysing data, solving problems and identifying opportunities to improve procurement outcomes, processes and business performance.
  • You have the ability to coach and guide others, building procurement and commercial capability across a diverse stakeholder group.
  • You are highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a regulated environment while maintaining compliance and attention to detail.
