Jewish Care Victoria is seeking a skilled Procurement Category Specialist to actively contribute to nominated business units to manage procurement processes while supporting quality aged care & community services.

What You Will Do

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes including tender preparation, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Analyse market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Support budget planning and expenditure monitoring across service areas
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting systems

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
  • Awareness of rostering and scheduling activities (desirable)
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Understanding of not-for-profit sector requirements preferred

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
