Our Procurement team plays a critical role in ensuring our breweries and manufacturing sites have the right partnerships, services and solutions to operate safely, efficiently and competitively.

We’re looking for a Procurement Category Manager – Site Services & MRO to take ownership of two important categories at different stages of development. You will lead and continue to evolve our established Site Services category, while helping build greater visibility, structure and a more strategic approach to MRO.

This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys working in complex operational environments, influencing stakeholders and bringing greater structure, consistency and value to the way we manage suppliers and categories.

The role can be primarily based at either Tooheys Brewery in Lidcombe or our York Street office in Sydney CBD, with regular time spent at both. You’ll work closely with our breweries, engineering teams and wider business to deliver meaningful commercial and operational outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing category and supplier relationship management strategies across Site Services, Facilities Management and MRO, with a strong focus on delivering sustainable value.
• Leading sourcing, tendering, and contracting across the portfolio.
• Partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing and site leadership teams to understand business needs, challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Building strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve service, performance and commercial outcomes.
• Managing procurement projects and resolving complex commercial or operational challenges as they arise.
• Using market insights, procurement data and supplier performance information to identify opportunities, manage risk and continuously improve the category.

What kind of experience and knowledge are we looking for?

• Proven Procurement category management experience across Site Services, Facilities Management or similar indirect categories including developing and implementing category and supplier relationship management strategies.
• Experience working in or alongside manufacturing, engineering or other asset-intensive environments.
• A strong track record in strategic sourcing, contract development, and commercial negotiations.
• The ability to build credibility with technical and operational stakeholders and influence across different teams.
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset, with the drive to bring structure, simplify processes and get things moving.
• Strong commercial judgement, curiosity and the confidence to challenge the status quo.
• MRO experience is beneficial but not essential. Strong category management skills and the ability to bring structure to a developing category are more important.

Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, construction, mining or infrastructure could be highly beneficial to this role. FMCG experience is not essential — what matters most is your attitude, commercial capability, stakeholder skills and willingness to learn.
