Telenet is looking for a Procurement Category Lead IT / Network
As a Category Lead you will drive the development and execution of the sourcing and purchase strategies for IT / Network, used to deliver products and services to our Telenet customers. You will contribute to the design and implementation of the overall business strategies and long-term objectives.

Your tasks as a Procurement Category Lead IT / Network

As a Procurement Category Lead IT / Network, you will help source and contract the products and services needed to support Telenet's long-term IT / Network vision and strategy. You will join the Procurement & Supply Chain Tribe within the Finance and Strategy Circle where you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing a suitable supply and purchasing strategy, together with the business stakeholders, within our scope of IT / Network products and services, taking into account the impact on our own organization and market evolutions (e.g. generative AI)
• Tendering suppliers through an established Procurement process to ensure that this selection is handled in a structured, transparent and fair manner.
• Balancing stakeholder value in terms of price and quality whilst following Procurement policies and procedures including Telenet’s ESG objectives, AI , Cybersecurity, …
• Being end-to-end responsible for contract and Supplier Relationship Management, negotiating creative commercial proposals and business development initiatives with an eye on the total cost of ownership and correct risk management.
• Exchanging knowledge and experience within the Procurement team in order to improve ways of working, processes and stakeholder interaction.

Our ideal Procurement Category Lead IT / Network...

• Has experience with Procurement management in an international environment including sourcing strategy development for IT / Network scope.
• Has a deep understanding of contract management, procurement concepts, spending and market analyses, financial analyses and savings calculations.
• Has a good knowledge of standard legal terms & conditions including (Belgian) legislation, AI, ESG, Cybersecurity, GDPR and business ethics in order to identify and mitigate risks.
• Is able to quickly adapt, challenge and build stakeholder relationships and develop and understand domain knowledge.
• Can interact with suppliers and act as SPOC for negotiating, managing and optimizing supplier relationships.
• Has a Bachelor or Master degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Is a proactive self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills
• Speaks English, Dutch and/or French is a plus.
