Role Purpose

To support the Technology Category Management team in delivering data-driven procurement strategies across Software, Technology Professional Services, and Infrastructure. The role provides analytical insight, commercial support, and operational execution to enable effective sourcing decisions, supplier management, and value delivery across the global technology spend.

Key Accountabilities

Spend & Data Analysis

  • Analyse global technology spend (e.g. Software, Professional Services, Infrastructure). Produce insights on supplier concentration, cost drivers, and demand trends. Maintain dashboards and reporting to support category decision-making.

Market & Supplier Intelligence

  • Conduct supplier and market analysis across key technology categories (e.g. SaaS vendors, systems integrators, hyperscalers). Support benchmarking of pricing, licensing models, and commercial structures. Provide input into supplier evaluations and sourcing strategies.

Category Strategy Support

  • Support development and maintenance of Technology category strategies. Contribute to identification of value levers (e.g. licence optimisation, supplier consolidation, demand management). Track delivery of category initiatives and benefits.

Sourcing & Commercial Support

  • Support RFPs, contract negotiations, and commercial analysis. Prepare cost models, scenario analysis, and should-cost views. Assist in evaluating commercial proposals and supplier responses.

Procurement Operations & Governance

  • Support requisition and PO review processes, ensuring alignment to category strategy. Maintain contract, supplier, and spend data integrity in procurement systems. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.

·Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work with Technology, Finance, and business stakeholders to understand demand and requirements. Support communication of insights and recommendations. Build effective working relationships across Technology and Procurement teams.

Key Skills & Experience

Strong analytical capability (Excel, reporting tools). Understanding of Technology sourcing and procurement principles. Familiarity with software licensing and professional services models. Ability to translate data into actionable insight. Strong stakeholder communication skills. High attention to detail and structured approach.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field. Relevant procurement or analytical experience preferred.
