Procurement Buyer | Brooklyn, NY · $50,000–$65,000

About the Role A luxury interior design firm working across healthcare and hospitality is looking for a highly organized Procurement Buyer to own the purchasing process from start to finish. You'll work closely with the design team to price out specs, manage vendor orders, and keep meticulous records across projects ranging from 10 to 500 items. This role is less about sourcing from scratch and more about precision, follow-through, and making sure every order lands on time and exactly to spec.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Pricing

• Receive design specs from the design team and price out products and alternatives
• Prepare proposals for client approval before purchasing begins
• Source alternative options for items such as task chairs, accessories, and specialty products

Project & Order Management

• Manage purchasing workflow across multiple concurrent luxury design projects
• Track purchase orders, payments, and delivery timelines to ensure accuracy and on-time arrival
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers, including custom items with existing shop drawings

Record Keeping

• Maintain detailed and organized records for all projects
• Ensure all orders match approved specs and flag any discrepancies proactively

Qualifications

• Exceptional organizational skills — this is the most critical trait for success in this role
• Strong computer skills and functional Excel proficiency
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for accuracy
• Background in procurement, purchasing, or a related field is a plus
