Role title: Procurement Business Partner Operations & Engineering

Function: Finance – Procurement

Reports to: Procurement Business Partner Head Operations & Engineering

Location: Sibiu, Romania.

The Procurement Business Partner Operations & Engineering is responsible for delivering commercial value across key spend categories through effective sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiation. The role partners closely with business stakeholders to secure optimal commercial outcomes, manage supplier and contractual risk, and support the delivery of operational and financial objectives. Acting as a trusted procurement adviser, the role provides market insight, procurement expertise, and commercial guidance to enable informed business decisions and sustainable value creation.

What you will do

  • Manage assigned procurement categories and supplier portfolios to maximise value, optimise spend, and support business objectives.
  • Maximizes the use of tools, processes, policy setting and enforcement in alignment with the Category strategy to support the control of the spend
  • Negotiate commercial, contractual, and service arrangements that deliver favourable business outcomes and manage risk.
  • Partner with Operations & Engineering stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide pragmatic procurement solutions.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving and value-enhancement opportunities across assigned categories.
  • Manage supplier performance and relationships to support service quality, continuity, and business requirements.
  • Assess commercial and supply risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Provide expert procurement advice and market insight to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, governance requirements, and relevant legislation.

What we're looking for

  • Significant years of experience in procurement within a complex multinational environment, ideally within the Telecoms, Tech or Data Centre sectors
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex RFPs, commercial negotiations, and contract discussions that deliver measurable business value
  • Experience managing supplier portfolios and supporting business-critical operational or technology-related categories
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate cost, value, risk, and business outcomes when making recommendations and decisions.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels, balancing business priorities with procurement and governance requirements.
  • Experience operating independently in ambiguous situations and exercising sound judgement on commercial and supplier-related matters
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the interpretation of commercial, financial, and supplier performance data
  • Familiarity with procurement, sourcing, contract management and supplier management processes and tools
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages beneficial Qualifications
  • BSc degree in procurement, supply chain management, logistics or business administration
