Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with the possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)

You will be responsible for:

  • assisting in preparation works for new launch of system(s), including but not limited to data cleansing/ mapping/ checking, user acceptance tests, and any other related tasks;

  • reviewing and updating various procurement-related database(s), ensure accurate and complete data input, and follow up with relevant internal/external parties as required;

  • preparing procurement-related reports through consolidation of data collected from database and/or user collaborations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting;

  • reviewing supplier registration/update requests, answer enquiries and provide any relevant supports to suppliers;

  • supporting users in the use of systems, (i.e. mainly the Finance ERP and Procurement e-tendering system) and/or any other platforms as required;

  • supporting the roll-out of any new policy and guidelines, new system launch or other initiatives, to facilitate users’ understanding and ensure compliance with the Authority’s policies and guidelines;

  • assisting in preparation of any presentations, training materials, web content update, or any materials as required;

  • supporting procurement process and executions of various procurement activities as assigned;

  • contributing to knowledge networks and communities of best practices; and

  • performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.

You should:

  • possess a recognised degree, preferably in purchasing and supply management, business management or equivalent;

  • preferably have knowledge of procurement standard/regulation, processes, procedures and experiences in using e-tendering system(s);

  • be attentive to details, and able to handle multiple projects to meet deadlines;

  • have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment;

  • possess proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office tools (preferably experiences in Excel, SharePoint, Power BI and Power Apps); and

  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.

About West Kowloon Cultural District Authority

Stretching across 40 hectares of reclaimed land, WestK is one of the largest cultural projects in the world, blending art, education and open space.

Its vision is to create a vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong where the local arts scene can interact, develop and collaborate. Providing 23 hectares of public open space with two kilometres of vibrant harbour-front promenade it will also include a variety of arts and cultural facilities that will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and arts and cultural events.

A Development Plan for the District, based on well-received Foster + Partner’s Conceptual Plan, was approved by the Chief Executive-in-Council in January 2013. Overlooking the magnificent Victoria Harbour, the District will begin to take shape over the next decade.

By developing this sizable project in phases we can start to bring the district to life. The Xiqu Centre, Freespace, Art Park, M+, Hong Kong Palace Museum and Lyric Theatre Complex, will be developed as a first batch of facilities aiming for opening to the public.

Although the whole project will take time to complete, we are already busy organising a wide range of cultural activities on site. Visit our website for details of upcoming events. The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is a statutory body responsible for developing the West Kowloon Cultural District. Led by the Board and an executive team comprising experts from different sectors, our vision is to build a vibrant cultural quarter for the city, dedicated to bringing together local and international artists and audiences to be inspired and to celebrate the arts.
