The UK business is undergoing continued transformation into a data-led, service excellence-driven unattended retail platform, powered by technology, operational discipline, and customer-centric execution.

We are hiring a Procurement & Supply Chain Director to lead the end-to-end supply-side performance of Selecta’s UK&I business.

Reporting to the Managing Director UK&I, this role leads the full procurement and supply chain agenda across goods and services, owning supplier strategy, commercial performance, inventory and depot operations, and ensuring effective product and parts availability across the UK&I network.

The role is working closely with Chief Procurement Officer and Group Supply Chain to align strategic direction and cooperate to generate the best outcome for the country.

This is a critical Executive Committee role responsible for converting commercial strategy into delivered EBITDA through procurement leverage, supplier partnerships, logistics optimisation, inventory control, and supply chain transformation.

The role also plays a key part in enabling Selecta’s shift toward a high-margin, coffee-led, data-driven unattended retail model.

Role Purpose

The Procurement & Supply Chain Director is accountable for maximising supply-side value creation across the UK business.

This includes ownership of procurement strategy, supplier performance, supply chain execution, inventory efficiency, and logistics performance to deliver measurable EBITDA growth.

The role is responsible for:

  • Driving gross margin expansion through procurement leverage and supplier income
  • Driving efficiency and optimised OOH costs by procurement being part of the business decision making in all OOH as well as equipment and machinery
  • Ensuring product availability and service performance across a national estate
  • Optimising working capital, inventory, and supply chain cost-to-serve
  • Building strategic supplier partnerships and commercial trading models
  • Enabling category growth, premiumisation, and coffee-led margin expansion
  • Supporting transformation into a data-led, technology-enabled supply network

This role is a primary driver of Selecta’s margin expansion agenda and plays a central role in achieving long-term EBITDA growth targets.

Your Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Category Strategy

  • Own procurement strategy across coffee, cold drinks, snacks, fresh food, consumables, machines, spare parts, and indirect spend
  • Develop long-term category strategies aligned to margin growth and consumer demand
  • Lead supplier negotiations, trading agreements, and rebate structures (SPI/PPI)
  • Drive category premiumisation, category innovation, coffee expansion, and portfolio optimisation
  • Leverage Group scale to improve sourcing efficiency and commercial leverage

2. Supply Chain Performance & Availability

  • Own end-to-end supply chain performance from supplier to machine
  • Ensure high product availability and service continuity across 16,706 machines
  • Improve OTIF performance, forecasting accuracy, and demand planning
  • Reduce waste, shrinkage, and obsolete stock across the network
  • Improve depot and logistics execution efficiency

3. Margin Expansion & Supplier Value Creation

  • Deliver gross margin improvement aligned to FY26–FY30 growth plan
  • Maximise supplier income streams (SPI, PPI, rebates, marketing contributions)
  • Drive SKU rationalisation and range optimisation across categories
  • Support pricing architecture and revenue management initiatives with Commercial teams
  • Enable coffee-led margin expansion and premiumisation strategy

4. Inventory, Logistics & Working Capital

  • Optimise inventory holding, stock turns, and working capital efficiency
  • Improve logistics cost per vend and route efficiency
  • Extend supplier payment terms and improve cash conversion cycle
  • Reduce excess stock, obsolescence, and supply chain waste
  • Drive depot and warehouse efficiency improvements

5. Transformation, Technology & Leadership

  • Lead supply chain transformation across systems, automation, and analytics
  • Embed telemetry, AI forecasting, and data-led replenishment models
  • Drive supplier consolidation and simplification agenda
  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement and supply chain leadership team
  • Build succession depth and strengthen organisational capability

Margin & EBITDA

  • Gross margin % improvement (FY26–FY30 trajectory)
  • EBITDA contribution from procurement & supply chain levers

Supply Chain Performance

  • Product availability % across estate
  • OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance

Requirements

What You Bring / Requirements

  • Senior procurement and/or supply chain leadership experience in FMCG, food service, vending, retail, or logistics environments
  • Proven track record delivering measurable margin improvement and cost optimisation
  • Experience managing complex supplier ecosystems and commercial negotiations
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain, logistics, and inventory management
  • Experience operating in multi-site, high-volume, route-based businesses (preferred)
  • Strong commercial acumen with direct linkage between supply chain levers and P&L outcomes
  • Ability to work in matrix organisation (local, group level)
  • Experience in transformation-led or performance-driven environments (PE-backed desirable)
  • Familiarity with vending, coffee systems, or unattended retail models (preferred)
