About this position: Procurement and Inventory Specialist Location – Anchorage, AK

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Source, quote, and purchase products from vendors and manufacturers (RF systems, two-way radios, security equipment, parts, and accessories).

· Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value.

· Create and manage purchase orders; track and expedite deliveries.

· Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations.

· Maintain accurate inventory records in the company system (ERP/CRM/warehouse software).

· Receive, inspect, and put away incoming shipments; organize warehouse for efficient picking and shipping.

· Process internal sales orders and prepare items for customer pickup or shipment.

· Handle returns, warranty processing, and repairs with vendors.

· Generate inventory reports and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

· Education Requirements: High school diploma required.

· Level of Experience Requirements: 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory control, or warehouse operations.

· Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.

· Physical ability to handle warehouse tasks (lifting, moving boxes, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Good negotiation and vendor management abilities.

· Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost savings.

Preferred

· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

· Experience with technical products (telecommunications, RF equipment, electronics, or security systems).

Supervisory Responsibilities

· This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements

· This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

· Must be able to regularly lift and move boxes and inventory items (up to 50 lbs).

· Regularly required to stoop, kneel, and bend during work.

· Ability to sit for extended periods along with periodic standing and walking short distances.

· Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including keyboards and computers.

· Close visual acuity and ability to hear in a typical office environment.

Work Environment

Physical Setting: Warehouse/office hybrid environment in Anchorage.

Schedule and FlexibilityStandard business hours (8am to 5pm) with occasional flexibility for urgent procurement needs.

Other Pertinent Work DetailsEmphasis on accuracy and compliance with government contracting requirements.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
