About this role:


The purpose of this role is to assist the Group Procurement Manager in executing Wormall Group’s Annual Procurement Objectives, this strategy includes but is not limited to achieving agreed and budgeted cost savings, mitigating supply and business continuity risk, optimising group investment in inventory, eliminating waste and double handling and developing new and enhancing existing procurement processes throughout the Wormall Group.

What will your day look like:

  • Assist in the seamless implementation of the Procure to Pay module of the ERP system.
  • Timely purchase order conversion, processing of mismatched invoices, in accordance with established KPI’s.
  • Continuous improvement in educating suppliers on conforming to Purchase Order details and providing accurate and appropriately referenced invoices.
  • Provide timely and accurate spend category information necessary for commercial negotiation: categorised periodic consumption, spend forecast data.
  • Assist in, and for smaller spend suppliers, conduct commercial meetings with suppliers, including unit rate negotiation and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Expedite Purchase Orders and monitor delivery dates ensuring no work/production stoppages.
  • Identify and conduct sourcing activities to on-board new suppliers/alternatives for high-risk products or parts that are currently sole source supply,
  • Assist in developing, streamlining, documenting and then rolling out new and modified procurement processes.

About you:

  • Minimum of three years in a similar role or a commercial background.
  • Previous experience of implementing an ERP system.
  • Exposure to inventory management principles.
  • Intermediate Level Microsoft Application skills, particularly Excel, Word and Visio.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to lead change.
  • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
  • Full rights to work in Australia.
