Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Procurement Agent to join the Electrical Standards Operations in Everett, Washington

This position will support the development and execution of work transfer activity within the wire bundle and electrical component categories. This position requires Procurement Agents to integrate and partner with BCA Contracts, Category Management, Engineering, and Fabrication teams.

The ideal candidate will have a background in the wire bundle or electrical component categories; experience in Supply Chain Operations; the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; and the ability to work effectively with business partners as part of an integrated team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance

  • Collaboration with others; communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns

  • Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements

  • Identifies needs for training in business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier for improvement or enhancement of delivery performance

  • Participates in on-site supplier assessments with the procurement agent (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy

  • Monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan; assesses supplier resource plans

  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improve existing processes

  • Supports work movement

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or in supplier management

  • 5+ years of experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements in dealing with suppliers

  • 5+ years of experience creating project schedules which identify time frames for key project milestones

  • 2+ years of experience with Velocity, or SAP, or a similar ERP/WMS

  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working with production teams

  • Having regularly developed strategic recommendations to improve quality, performance, etc. in a previous role

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to analyze data and create presentations
