Processing Superintendent

Ravenswood Gold is seeking an experienced Processing Superintendent to lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our processing plant at one of Queensland’s largest gold mining operations.

Reporting to the Processing Manager, you will drive production performance, optimise plant throughput and recovery, and lead a high-performing team committed to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading all processing operations to achieve production, recovery, and cost targets
• Driving safe plant performance and embedding a strong safety culture
• Optimising plant throughput, recovery, and operational efficiency
• Coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
• Partnering with metallurgy and maintenance teams to improve performance and reliability
• Overseeing plant performance monitoring and corrective actions
• Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with site standards
• Supporting budget delivery, cost control, and forecasting
• Driving continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives
• Overseeing water management and tailings operations for environmental compliance
• Developing and mentoring supervisors and processing teams
• Supporting commissioning, plant upgrades, and improvement projects

About You:

You are a proven processing leader with experience in gold or mineral processing operations and a strong track record of delivering production outcomes, leading teams, and improving plant performance.

You'll bring:

• Extensive experience in mineral processing operations, preferably gold
• Strong leadership experience managing supervisors and operational teams
• Demonstrated success in plant optimisation and performance improvement
• Solid understanding of gold processing circuits (crushing, milling, CIL/CIP, elution, recovery)
• Experience working closely with maintenance and metallurgy functions
• Strong safety leadership and knowledge of mining regulations
• Experience managing budgets, costs, and operational performance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Regarded:

• Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related qualification
• Experience in gold processing operations
• Exposure to plant upgrades, commissioning, or optimisation projects
• Familiarity with control systems and operational reporting tools
