About the role

Working as part of our Works production team, you'll undertake a variety of production, packing and warehouse tasks while working alongside Supported Employees to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards:

  • Operating on the production line with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Completing packing, labelling and assembly tasks
  • Picking and packing customer orders
  • Meeting production targets and quality requirements
  • Operating equipment and machinery safely
  • Reporting machinery faults or safety concerns promptly
  • Assisting with stock, materials and equipment management
  • Working collaboratively with team members to achieve daily goals
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
  • Building positive working relationships with colleagues and customers where required

We are ideally looking for people with experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse operations or disability employment services who are comfortable performing manual handling tasks and standing for extended period.

The details

  • 12-month fixed-term position
  • Wednesday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:06pm (with potential for Monday and Tuesday for the right applicant)
  • Based at our Thomastown Warehouse

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
