Process Technician - Mold Shop 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Process mold presses to ensure cycle time standard, quality standard and job packet specs are correct.
• Assist with mold changes, color changes and material changes when needed and directed by supervisor.
• Cleanliness / appearance of plant “5S”.
• Perform basic maintenance functions as needed.
• Train operators and mold setters on startup and shutdown of press when applicable, also cleaning of molds.
• Develop and instill a teamwork attitude and culture.
• Follow the direction of supervision and/or plant management.
• Verify operation of secondary equipment.
• Verify scrap pieces, validate and report.
• Perform process verification documentation once per shift and/or during process change
• Maintain a workable knowledge of and the ability to operate all the controls of a mold press, auxiliary equipment and robots safely and correctly.
• Understand mold press technical terms and abbreviations.
• Verify set up sheets, route sheets and quality control documents.
• Verify mold temperature, injection time, pressure, melt and dryer settings for repeatability/scrap reduction.
