Conduct accurate and reliable temperature measurements using various pyrometry techniques.
Monitor and control heat treatment processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to temperature measurement or heat treatment processes.
Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Maintain and calibrate pyrometry equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Review and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for pyrometry processes.
Train and mentor new team members on pyrometry techniques and processes.
Communicate with customers to address any questions or concerns related to pyrometry.
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in pyrometry technology.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while carrying out pyrometry processes
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of pyrometry processes and results.
Support/drive customer audits and partner with QA team
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of heat treatment processes
Report any incidents/accidents to supervisor or EHS in a timely manner
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering preferred, but required.
5+ years of pyrometry or heat treat experience
AMS2750 L1 or L2 certification preferred
Experience interfacing with customers and vendors
Ability to multitask and collaborate with associates across the enterprise
Prior experience coordinating internal audits
