The primary purpose of this job is to be responsible for the day-to-day change management of newly created/existing items as they relate to Certification as well as providing expertise to other functional areas to solve business problems.

Essential Functions:

  1. Create and maintain Certification Profiles for all items within their assigned product groupings.
  2. Interpret and analyze quality control procedures to solve problems and execute standard practices within the product organization.
  3. Execute business strategies in support of organizational needs as they relate to product certification by leading discussions with Product and Item Engineers.
  4. Manage quality standards as they relate to auditing of batches and preparation/creation of profiles that identify the complex setups needed to meet customer requirements.
  5. Serve as the expert to Certification Auditors & Product Engineers in the area of interpreting customer specifications as well as how the company will comply with and execute customer standards.
  6. This role is the recipient of all change orders from Product Engineers and will maintain item updates as they relate to Certification Specifications and Profiles. In addition, the role is responsible for assessing product impact and ensuring the changes do not conflict with certification requirements.
  7. Apply product knowledge and expertise in effectivity management and customer agreements to create complex solutions for customer compliance.
  8. Guide all intersecting departments to ensure that existing inventory and production are effectively managed because of the changes submitted.
  9. Support Certification during Audits, PSR's, CAR's and all other Quality initiatives.
  10. Develop and report continuous improvement initiatives that lead to cost savings and reduced rework in Certification across all facility sites.

Qualifications

Education Required

2 Years College or Equivalent Job Experience

Experience Required

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

Knowledge of:

  • Proficient in the Certification Application.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word and Excel at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.
  • General knowledge of company, products, processes, objectives and operations.
  • Oracle experience is required.
  • Experience in change management is preferred.

  • Effective interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with and through others to contribute to the technical development of certification standards.
  • Ability to operate within existing procedures to solve complex business problems as well as the ability to analyze information and requirements to provide judgment in implementing long-term solutions.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to foster collaborations, inspires confidence, and motivates individuals across diverse teams in a manufacturing environment in order to meet objectives.
