Job Description

As a Process Safety Intern, you will play a vital role in our Health, Safety & Environment department. You will gain practical experience and knowledge by participating in various process safety initiatives and projects. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn and apply global process safety standards while contributing to a safer and more sustainable workplace.
  • Participate in HAZOP workshops to identify and mitigate process hazards.
  • Prepare and implement process safety culture promotions to enhance awareness and compliance.
  • Assist in process safety audits to ensure adherence to PETRONAS and global standards (OSHA, API, CCPS).
  • Contribute to digital safety initiatives, leveraging technology for smarter compliance.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement process safety improvement plans.
  • Conduct research and analysis on process safety topics, providing valuable insights.
  • Support the development of training materials to educate colleagues on process safety.
  • Assist in incident investigations, learning effective root cause analysis techniques.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure process safety considerations are integrated into projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to process safety activities.
  • Enrolled in a Chemical, Process, or Safety-related course.
  • Passion for process safety, risk management, and operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Basic knowledge of process safety standards is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Availability to commit to the internship program for the specified duration.
