We’re on the lookout for a Process Relief Operator Uptakes #3 to assist production in reducing overtime by providing leave/training relief.

As a Process Relief Operator Uptakes #3, you will be responsible for:

• Perform shift handovers and operate plant equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Relieve operators across designated positions and carry out all duties associated with those roles.
• Complete section-specific operational tasks, interventions, and initiatives as planned.
• Assist the Foreman and operating staff during breakdowns and provide support with staff supervision when required.
• Record shift incidents accurately, report equipment faults and breakdowns, and maintain operational documentation.
• Participate in problem-solving initiatives, progress meetings, training, and development activities to build operational competence.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) requirements by identifying hazards, taking corrective action, and following company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and actively contribute to a safe and efficient working environment through regular safety observations.
• Prepare and Support Plant Start-Up and Operational Activities.

What are we looking for?

• Matric (Grade 12) with Math’s and Physical Science or an N3 in Pulp and Paper?
• Minimum of 2 years’ operational experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
